New Product Introduction Manager - Recaro Seats

The Role:

The New Product Introduction Manager will initially be a member of Liverpool's Launch Team and report to the Launch Manager. They will be responsible for the introduction of the Recaro program. This will include running open issues lists, emphasis builds, PLUS deliverables and be key contributor to the 0 - 0 - 100 - 100 - 30 Metric. After 30 days, the New Product Introduction Manager (know internally as the Plant in Plant Manager) will transfer to Operations reporting to the Operations Manager. This role will see the New Product Introduction Manager as the key interface between Recaro and the customer for all Recaro issues. Duties will include (but not limited to PCPA and change management).



Deliverables (activities will include):

• Be a Key interface in cross functional program teams to achieve target costs, quality and

• manufacturability of new products

• Co-ordinate pre-production builds in line with program timings

• Ensure JIT plant readiness for changes (Process, Manufacturing, Materials and Quality) by utilising the program documentation and regular plant reviews

• Create plant ramp up schedule of customer production build quantities and dates required

• Complete the launch performance report with the Launch Manager

• Ensure proper change management of current product engineering changes

• Identify training needs for new products / processes and create training plans for Launch trainers to implement

• Implement solutions to improve safety, reduce cost and improve quality

• Analyse costs, efficiency and liability of the existing plant and systems, evaluates changes and determines targets for production

• Evaluates production requirements and determine production schedules

• Ensure capacity and capability processes are implemented and reviewed in order to meet agreed customer requirements

• Day to day people management and appraisal process for your teams



Candidate Qualification/ Expertise



• Degree in Engineering or similar qualification

• Minimum 3 year's experience of working in an Automotive Manufacturing environment, more

• specifically in Manufacturing Operations, Quality Management (APQP, PPAP) and Just-In-Time (JIT)

• Program Management experience involving at least one product launch

• New Product Introduction (NPI) experience required

• Knowledge in PC software applications, e.g. Microsoft Office

• Leadership and management experience in fast moving manufacturing environment. ILM 3 or equivalent qualification an advantage

• Good Interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and achieve business objectives

• Clear, concise and appropriate communication style both written and verbal

• Can recognise and respond to customer expectations with a drive for results

• Demonstrates innovation in decision making, change management, and continuous improvement activities
