This is a great opportunity for someone wishing to join a very successful expanding company with a great team family spirit. This is an internal sales role managing the whole sales process from beginning to end, no actual sales involved, more of account management, and support to Field Sales people. NO COLD CALLING AT ALL.

 

The ideal candidate will have very good organisational skills, plus the ability to write a very professional email. Operating in a niche market so all customers are known to them. Building and maintaining these relationships

 

Day to day you will be managing enquiries, producing quotations to set price margins, looking at discount levels; you must know how to put together a quotation and understand gross margin. Placing the order through to delivery, follow up outstanding quotations and general account management.

 

Internal support for new products, send out samples, brochures etc, take reports from Field Sales people, identify action points and deal with for them ie send out a quote, chase it up, send out samples, set up further meetings.

 

This is a small friendly company, the directors are very hands on, and everyone gets involved in everything. Must be dynamic, outgoing, want to get involved and happy in small friendly environment where people stay for a long time

 

Role Responsibilities:

 

  • Deal with incoming Sales Enquiries and telephone Sales Orders in the agreed style and within the agreed timeframes
  • Make outgoing telephone calls to customers to ensure they are kept up to date with orders placed & to promote any specific product lines as agreed with management team

  • Manage the "Opportunities Board" to ensure that all necessary actions are carried out and communicated in line with the agreed procedure to achieve the desired outcomes

  • Produce quotations and proposals to the agreed standard and within the agreed timeframes and where necessary arrange for samples to be prepared

  • Assist with the conversion and renewal of Service Level Agreements

  • Follow up quotations within agreed and structured system in order to convert the maximum level of opportunities

  • Pass on sales leads and the relevant data to enable the sales reps to visit potential business growth clients

  • Use of the CRM system to ensure all customer communications are captured for all to see

  • Process website applications in line with the agreed procedure and process any enquiries

    Arrange and attend conferences and mini exhibitions within the UK where appropriate. Identify potential exhibitions and sponsorship opportunities for consideration by the management team

  • Coordinate and action any promotional activities including mailings, samples, emailers, etc

  • Manage enquiries resulting from conferences and mini exhibitions within the UK and worldwide and ensure appropriate responses in line with the agreed procedure

  • Manage the customer database to ensure the contacts list is up to date and be aware of key contacts within companies

  • Be aware of customer order patterns and highlight any areas of concern or opportunities to the sales reps

  • Answer incoming telephone calls and screen/pass on as required
