A new position has arisen for a Kitchen Assistant to work for an award winning farm shop based in Cheshire. The role is available full time on a permanent basis but it would be suitable on an apprenticeship level as ongoing training is provided. You’ll be met with a salary of £7/hr as well as 28 days holiday pro rata and an annual discretionary bonus.
Hours of work:
Tuesday - 9:00 - 17:00
Wednesday - 8:00 - 17:00
Thursday - 8:30 - 17:30
Friday - 9:00 - 19:00
Saturday - 9:00 - 18:00
The role
As a Kitchen Assistant / Apprentice you will gain valuable experience in all areas of the kitchen including: making pastry for quiches and pies, helping prepare ready meals and maintaining excellent hygiene standards. You’ll also need to be able to work efficiently in a small team and deliver excellent customer service.
What you’ll need
No kitchen experience is required as such but you must have a passion for food, an eye for detail and a can-do attitude. Full training will be given to the successful applicant.

Our client is a multi award winning Cheshire based farm shop with a butchery, café and deli producing many of their own products: ready meals, cakes, pies, pastries, quiches, prepared vegetables, puddings and pates. 80% of what they sell in the shop is made by them or from local producers from Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
