Role: Sessional On-Site Assessor in Plastering
Location: Beeston and Nottingham , NG9
Salary: £15.56/hr - £16.59 /hr inclusive of holidays
Casual, Part Time

Responsible to: Head of School Construction

Our client have a proven track record of delivering College based courses and Apprenticeships within the sector.

They are actively looking to recruit an experienced sessional on site Assessor - Plastering who can assist them in developing programmes which meets the needs of both their Learners and Employers.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide appropriate information, advice and guidance on Employer training programmes to clients, employers, agencies and prospective learners.
  • Support learners through recording, tracking, documenting and discussion for progress of individual study.
  • To assess the suitability of placements, liaising with employers and provide initial advice and guidance. Interview and identify potential learners.
  • Support learners through recruitment, initial assessment and action planning identifying and supporting individual needs as appropriate.
  • Ensure learners, employers and schools are provided with necessary information on: health & safety, equal opportunities, programme content, programme delivery and assessment arrangements.
  • Work with employers to identify learning needs and help manage client relationships maintaining the College CRM system.
  • Deliver training and assessment on NVQ, VRQ and other programmes to meet the needs of employers, schools and learners and to national standards.
  • Review and monitor learner progress in the workplace ensuring timely completion and achievement of qualifications.
  • Deliver the qualifications out in industry, and also contribute to the assessing of relevant NVQ qualifications as part of apprenticeship frameworks.
  • Completion of all necessary contractual paperwork to the standard required to meet contractual compliance.
  • Internally verify assessment in the workplace.
  • Track and record learner activity to meet College, awarding body and funders requirements.
  • Participate as a full member of the team and contribute to the development, promotion, review and delivery of programmes.
  • Respond to and deal with enquiries effectively, referring to others where appropriate.
  • Work flexibly to meet the needs of employers, schools and learners.
  • Complete Health and Safety vetting of companies.
  • Maintain and communicate the qualification aims, progress and delivery targets to the Manager to ensure the timely completion of qualifications and frameworks. To plan via Individual Learning Plans and Reviews (ILP's/ILR's).
