JOB TITLE: ICT Technician
SALARY & BENEFITS: Grade 4: £17,372 - £19,742
WORKING HOURS: 37 hours per week, all year round

THE ROLE: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ICT Technician to join an ICT Support Team who has a real passion delivering excellence, in this picturesque and calming setting. This group of talented individuals ensure that the School has the very best in ICT systems and processes. The ICT Technician will be supporting learners, staff and leaders and will be part of a supportive and caring team with a can-do attitude.
Key Responsibilities to include:-
Use specialist ICT skills, training and experience to support students to fully utilise their learning environment
Be responsible for timely and accurate preparation and use of ICT specialist equipment, resources and materials including providing technical support for hardware/software problems and dealing with day to day maintenance issues as part of an overall plan
Be responsible for maintenance/quality/safety of specialist ICT equipment.
To assist with any necessary maintenance and expansion of the school network, as detailed in the school ICT Development Plan as part of the School Development Plan
Installation of computer hardware and software as required. Ensuring that equipment and programmed work are up and running for immediate use by the user wherever possible
THE CANDIDATE: The ICT Technician will be expected to have strong technical support ability and experience as well as being able to communicate well due to the nature of the role. You will be able to demonstrate and promote the positive values, attitudes and behaviour they expect from the pupils with whom they work.
Key experience essential for the role:
Good experience as an ICT Technician or in a similar supporting role is essential
Effective use of ICT and other specialist equipment/resources including Microsoft Office applications, computer hardware and networks
Specific training in ICT at level 3 and equivalents or qualified by experience
Experience of working in an educational environment is highly desirable
A working knowledge of some/all of the following: Windows Server 2008 R2 / Windows Server 2012 / Microsoft AD, IIS, DHCP, DNS, DFS, WSUS, WDS, GPO
A knowledge of some/all of the following would be desirable: Milestone CCTV, SafeNet, SonicWall, LiveRegister, LightSpeed, Net2 Access Control, Moodle, PaperCut, Sophos and School Cash Office.
