The Account Manager Role:
The key function of this role is to generate and close new business opportunities through management of the full sales cycle, from lead generation to close either by phone or face to face with clients. You will progress your opportunities by working closely with our Technical experts to capture customer requirements and ensure fit for purpose solutions are delivered in line with the client's business drivers.
We’re looking for someone dynamic who is a good fit into our culture and will embody our values. The successful Account Manager will be someone who is enthusiastic, has a can-do attitude and is highly effective at searching out new leads, networking and gaining referrals. Perhaps it’s your second or third business development role and you’re looking for a new opportunity to shine and demonstrate the value you can bring to our business.
Account Manager Essential Experience & Skills:
> A minimum of 1 years’ experience in an Account Management role within the IT industry preferably from a managed hosting, Cloud, IAS, software as a service or complimenting technologies market
> Proven track record of client retention and revenue generation
> Strong oral and written communication skills
> Close attention to detail
> Excellent time management and organisational skills
> Ability to work as a member of a team and on own initiative
> Broad understanding of internet technologies
> Good knowledge of the target market and its dynamics
> Ability to prepare accurate sales documentation for prospective customers, e.g. quotes, proposals, tenders and RFIs
> Excellent all round communication skills
To be successful in this role, you will also need to demonstrate:
> That you’re a go-getter, intuitive and a self-starter
> Several years account management experience within the managed hosting sector
> A track record of over performance and outstanding target achievement in an Account Management role
> Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Remuneration and Benefits:
The salary for this role is likely to be in the range £25-£30,000 per annum depending on experience plus uncapped OTE (£10K). What's best though is that you get the opportunity to carry out an interesting and challenging role in a growing company.
