Pre- School Manager

Burwood Pre-school, Hersham, Surrey

Full time position, 40 Hours per week over 5 days (8am-4pm) with flexibility to cover staff sickness during after school club.

Salary range: GBP21,840 - GBP31,200 pro rata (Term time only) dependant on experience.

Burwood Pre-school in Hersham is a registered charity that offers high quality childcare and early years learning opportunities to 54 children between the ages of 2-5 years. We are seeking to recruit a committed and experienced Manager to lead a small dedicated team.

Duties will include:

• Day to day management of the pre-school
• Planning ongoing activities and arranging the resources and staffing of such
• Managerial administration, including staff rotas, holiday cover etc
• Staff management including inducting, supervising and appraising staff
• Parent/carer liaison
• Continuous monitoring of quality, standards, risk, safeguarding and inclusive practice in the setting

It is essential that you hold a full and relevant Level 3 qualification in early years and childcare and have experience within an early years setting. Previous experience in managing a relevant setting and thorough working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage is also essential. A willingness to train further in order to reach Early Years Teacher Status is highly desirable. You will also have enthusiasm and commitment to maintaining the highest standards in childcare, with effective communication and motivating skills, possess a sound understanding of Ofsted requirements and procedures and have a positive approach to teamwork.
