We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced tanker driver at our Cadishead solvents Terminal. The terminal handles bulk & packed liquid solvents. The shunter/drivers role will be to organize and execute the bulk loading of multi-pot road tankers with flammable solvent liquids. Reporting to the Shift Manager, the successful applicant will work in various areas across the Top Tier COMAH site.

Shunter Tanker Driver / Works Operative Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Core competence should be in loading and unloading chemical tankers, chemical product packing, engineering knowledge and general warehouse operations. Relevant expertise and a current Fork Lift Truck (Counterbalance) license (or the achievement of one through in-house training) is a requirement. The role would include duties such as in process quality testing of product, filling & packing liquids, transfer of goods to and from storage locations or tankers, stock counting and labeling. You would also be required to be involved in offloading product bulk liquid deliveries into site by ship (via the ship canal). 

We Are Looking For:

You will hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence and an ADR certificate and up to date CPC is essential for this role. This role is for a highly motivated individual who is dedicated and thorough in ensuring that all objectives are met. You will strive for excellence in your accuracy of information, service standards and product presentation. You will require strong organisational skills in addition to effective communication skills. You must be flexible with an ability to work in a fast moving and demanding environment, whilst maintaining attention to detail at all times. A working knowledge of the chemical industry is desirable particular in health and safety awareness.
