The Operations Director Opportunity:
We are a B2C brand, with the majority of our products manufactured in-house. Orders are shipped to individuals all across Europe, so extensive experience at Director level in a recognised eCommerce operation is preferred.
Experience with managing customer experience and with overseeing IT are advantageous.
With a 3 year CAGR of in excess of 100%, our growth is set to continue well in to the future – making it a challenging, yet exciting, opportunity for the right candidate.
Operations Director Role and Responsibilities:
// Budget Development, Financial Performance and Cost Control
> Full P&L accountability for all operational processes
> Measurement and tracking of financial performance over weekly and monthly timescales
// Strategic and Operational Planning / Forecasting
> Responsible for development of operational and supply chain strategy, to be reviewed at least annually
> Responsible for development of logistical plans over long-, medium- and short-term from sales forecasts, including capacity planning of stockholding points, SKUs and throughput; resource planning; ensure adequate capacity
> Responsible for forecast of raw materials requirements in accordance with usage rates and forecast consumption
// Manufacturing
> Responsible for production forecasting, scheduling, capacity planning and development and maintenance of an MRP environment
> Responsible for equipment planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair; third party maintenance contracts
> Compliance with all relevant technical and legislative compliance relating to standards, safety, hygiene and batch control and traceability
// Vendor Development
> Responsible for supplier development and best practice programme to improve overall performance of supply chain
// Order Management
> Responsible for full management, monitoring and execution of the order cycle, from receipt of orders to picking, packing, despatch and returns
> Responsible for monitoring progress across the supply chain and expediting to ensure timely delivery of orders as necessary
// Warehouse Management
> Health and safety and legislative compliance
> Responsible for layout based on product characteristics; must maintain adequate capacity
> Data cleanliness and usage
> Responsible for development of effective and efficient processes, and maintenance of standard operating procedures
> Recruitment, training and individual / team development
> Responsible for facility management, operational standards and housekeeping
// Customer Service
> Responsible for managing a multi-lingual customer service team to deliver best in class customer experience
// IT / Project Management
> Oversee IT projects as and when required to develop and implement business and operational changes
> QC of (smaller) projects
