EXHIBITIONS SALES DIRECTOR
£50,000 + OTE up to £70k + Car Allowance

This Exhibitions Sales Director role is responsible for driving exhibitor sales and for initiating and executing plans to achieve revenue targets as agreed with the CEO.

Key activities and responsibilities of the Exhibitor Sales Director role:  The Exhibitions Sales Director role is to develop and execute strategies to maximise exhibitor revenue and net margin across all exhibitor services. 
Research each exhibitor service and devise and execute a specific strategy for revenue and net margin enhancement.
Working with the line of business heads to develop products and services.
Exhibitor Sales
  • Produce a business plan with quantified monthly exhibitor revenue.
  • Drive all campaigns, including email and outbound telephone, to directly generate new sales.   
  • Work with Marketing to drive social media channels to market
  • Develop products and services aligned with business strategy.
  • Working with marketing to develop collateral in line with the identified strategy to support the sales strategy.
  • Acquire and manage resource as identified in the plan.
  • Develop a monthly reporting process which measures actual performance vs. plan.
  • Monitor and adapt strategies as necessary to meet and exceed targets.
  • Actively engage in continuous improvement 
  • Demonstrate commitment to the core values of the company.
Strategy/Best Practice
  • Keeps abreast of changes in the exhibition industry and in marketing by networking/reading/research and understands how these will affect their area of responsibility and current strategy being adopted.
  • Makes input at a strategic level.
  • Keeps in touch with market developments.
  • Ensures that functional knowledge is shared amongst teams. 
  • Networks outside of the organisation and ensures that best practices/innovations are brought back into the organisation.
Relationships
  • Meets regularly with key internal customers (business owners) to ensure that a constructive relationship is developed consistent application and appropriate messaging.
  • Obtains feedback from customers on the service being provided and works with management team to resolve issues.
Commercial
  • In conjunction with the business owners determines the target revenue for their area of responsibility. 
  • Monitors revenue on a monthly basis and in conjunction with business teams take corrective action as required; managing revenue generation to forecast.
  • In conjunction with business owners sets and monitors revenues from products/services in their area and initiates action to ensure revenues targets are met.
