Job Vacancy for Health and Social Care Assessor for Leeds, York and Ilkley
This is a permanent position, the salary for this position is GBP19,000 with a GBP2,500 bonus which is paid every November
The other benefits for this position is the 45p per mile, Laptop, Mobile, Health and Pension Scheme
The role is home based but you will be expected to travel so you need to be able to have access to a car

RESPONSIBLE TO: Business Manager/ Operations Manager

PURPOSE OF JOB:To assess and guide learner's performance and knowledge against relevant framework including Functional Skills within apprenticeships to achieve high quality qualifications within the appropriate timescale.

Key Performance Indicators:
Minimum 80% achievement of Frameworks in period
Minimum 80% achievement of Aims in period
Ensure 80% timely completions against set target
Less than 15% Aims/Frameworks out of funding
Minimum of 15 learner visits a week
Visits/reviews less than 10% of caseload not seen over 6 weeks including Work Place Monitoring
Leavers / breaks in learning will be monitored against 80% QSR rate
Rejections referrals less than 5% error rate
Aim to achieve an overall minimum grade two in observations of teaching, learning and assessment

Key Responsibilities:
Visit learners in their working environment to carry out sign ups, inductions, reviews, action planning, observations and assessments
Accurate and timely completion of all relevant documentation and records relating to learners training and progress including;
Learner Reviews
Individual Learning Plans
Records of Assessment
Action plans/feedback
Training records
Keep up to date with specific occupational area and with latest developments in assessment methods
Ensure Learners are fully aware of their progress and where their evidence meets the standards of the qualification
Contribute to the company quality objectives ensuring all learners achieve in relation to their starting point, have a quality programme and meet Ofsted standards.
Ensure all delivery is observed at a grade 2 or above in relation to Ofsted requirements.
Implement specific training needs to assist learners progressions
Maintain assessment standards to TDLB D32/D33/A1/TAQA at all times
Liaise with Internal and external verifiers on framework and apprenticeships to ensure quality and delivery.
Provide support and guidance to learners as well as providing more specific support for additional learning needs and additional social needs
Accurately complete learner Health and Safety documentation and report on any issues
Support and maintain the quality assurance process for assessment
Contribute to maintaining delivery, practical and knowledge based skills and identify and record occupational training provided
Committed to continuous improvement personal and organisational
Increase the portfolio of the company by assisting in the marketing of all areas of the business
Maintain own caseloads at viable levels
The ability to be flexible to the company requirements. This could entail visiting learners outside the normal geographical area.
Carry out any additional duties as reasonably requested by line management
Contribute and maintain delivery via software packages such as E-portfolio and MS Systems

You need to have experience of assessing within Health and Social Care environments
You need to have experience of assessing Health and Social CareL2/3 NVQ Apprenticeships
You need to have experience of delivering Functional Skills
You need to have your assessing qualification
You need to have a UK Driving Licence and access to a car
