My client is a German franchised distributor of semiconductor process equipment who also supply service contracts and spare parts/ consumables. They're currently looking for a Sales Engineer with a technical process, service or applications background, who can sell the high volume components (60%) as well as the tools (40% of the time). An engineer who wants to move in to a customer facing role will also be considered.

The sales territory is Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Benelux, but you will need to be based from a home office near Stuttgart.

The preferred candidate will have:

- A technical degree in electronics of mechanical engineering
- A background selling high volume components (preferably vacuum)
- The patience to endure the slow capital equipment sales cycle
- The willingness to travel extensively
- Business fluent German and English

You will report in to, and work closely with, the CEO who is still very much 'hands on' with equipment sales. His goal is to relinquish responsibility of the consumable lines and take input on the tool sales side of the business. This will give you a really good opportunity to become strategically involved in the business and have a big impact on their success across the DACH and Benelux regions.
