The Systems Administrator Opportunity:

This is great opportunity to work within a growing company who are providing revolutionary document management and credit control solutions. The successful applicant will be required to bring their wide range of skills to vastly improve the current service levels within the organisation. This is a very hands-on role but will require a high level of process design and documentation where necessary.

Systems Administrator Key skills, requiring a good working knowledge of the following:-

> Linux, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting - Ubuntu/CentOS
> Windows, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting
> Network security including Firewalls, routers, IDS
> WAN/LAN technologies, switching, secure protocols, security policies and procedures, VPN, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, AS/2, FTP, routing etc.
> Backup technologies and software – Backupexec or similar
> Server and network troubleshooting
> MS Office, MS Visio and MS Outlook
> Virtualization – KVM
> Secure certificates and document signing using secure tokens – SSL, X509, PKCS#11, PKCS#12, XadES, CadES, PadES
> MYSQL
> Message queues – RabbitMQ
> Linux shell scripting
> DOS batch scripting
> Active directory
> Email protocols, bulk emailing, spam avoidance, SPF, PTR, MX, DKIM etc.
> Zabbix or similar
> Puppet or similar
> Orchestration tools, Rundeck or similar
> Cabling - cat5/6/7/8
> Experience of ITIL

Systems Administrator Key Responsibilities:

> Manage all aspects of the company IT infrastructure
> Availability management of services - eg. JIRA, eMail etc.
> Capacity management
> Business and service continuity management to ensure minimal service disruption
> Security management
> Management of IT suppliers, including project management, technical reviews etc.
> Change management - to ensure that standardised methods and procedures are used for handling changes
> Asset and configuration management
> Release and deployment management of patches, upgrades etc.
> Incident and Event management to minimise adverse effects on business operations 
> Root cause analysis of system disruption
> Identity management of system users
> Telephony systems
> Provide user support and problem resolution for staff
> Select and purchase IT hardware and software
> Ensure that everyone is adhering to IT & Security policy
> Build and configure PCs, laptops and servers for both business and production use, both Windows or Linux operating systems
> Out of hours support and maintenance for production servers
> Support software development teams with technical input
