Description: Desktop Support Team Leader Role Purpose: Reporting into the Head of IT Operations, this individual will be responsible for running the Desktop Support function for Europe, making sure the function provides the acceptable level of service to all areas of the business. They will also manage and support the team on a day-to-day basis The candidate and experience for the role: Direct line management for the Desktop Support Team • Day to day organization and process management • Act as both technical and leadership point of escalation for the Desktop Support Team • Provide timely and efficient 2nd line support for all staff within SLA • Provide support to the Project and Delivery function • Work with the other areas of IT to improve processes and drive forward innovation • Take ownership of problems, identify root causes, fixes and provide documentation • Support and train other team members on new support issues • Create and maintain desktop and laptop images • Provide laptop, desktop and printer hardware support for all of Assurant Europe • Work to and provide support for Business continuity and Disaster recovery. Technical Requirements Essential • Windows XP and 7 OS Support • Office 2003 to 2010 • Terminal Server 2003 and 2000 • Active Directory groups creation and maintenance • Basic Networking • Remote Desktop Services 2008 • Cisco VPN • Creating, Deleting and Maintaining Users in AD • ITIL V3 Foundation or above • WDS and MDT 2012 for image maintenance and deployment • Printer Maintenance • File Server/ File Share maintenance • Symantec Backup 12.5 • BES Server Management Desirable • PowerShell • Process Automation/Scripting • PC Virtualisation • Exchange User Management • Asset and Licence Auditing • Networking Vlan/DHCP/DNS Please see the full job description for more details.
