Footpath Fundraisers for Canal & River Trust, £9/hour

PAY: £9/HOUR plus bonus of £35 for every 10 sign ups!
HOURS: Part time, flexible. 
LOCATION: Welshpool, Newtown

Next to the canals within the area! 

Canal & River Trust are looking to add to their already successful team of friendly and passionate people, who love their wildlife and outdoor spaces. You will be joining a team who raise awareness and secure donations for the charity along the canal towpaths, river banks and at events. 

You will be talking to everyone who enjoys our waterways, telling them about the charity and looking to get people signed up to a small monthly donation as part of our 'BECOME A FRIEND' campaign; when people sign up they receive a membership card, weekend walks book, unique badge, discounts and other freebies! 

At the Canal & River Trust we’re always looking to protect and improve our waterways for people and nature. Our cherished network of 2,000 miles of canals and rivers flows through the most beautiful countryside and vibrant cities that England and Wales have to offer.

ABOUT YOU! 
All applicants must: 
•    Be motivated by the Trust’s cause and passionate about our waterways
•    Be highly self-driven to exceed targets and expectations
•    Willing to work weekends
•    Be friendly, positive and enthusiastic
•    Able to operate alone for extended periods
•    Flexible attitude and ability to adapt to change and deal with negative responses
•    Have a good level of spoken and written English
•    Be 18 or over

A lot of festivals and other events take place over the weekend, so being happy to work weekends is a must!

Being a driver is essential as you will be travelling to sites than may be difficult to get to via public transport, you may also be required to transport promotional equipment, we will cover expenses for any excess travel you may be required to do. 
AVAILABLE SHIFTS: 
Tuesday - Sunday  (minimum of 18 hours required)
10am-4pm, during the peak season (times can be flexible)
10am-2pm during the off peak (flexible)
