We are a well-respected family run Care Home looking to appoint a Dining Room Assistant to work Saturday and Sunday morning from 8.00 am to 11.15 am. The position is based on a nursing unit within the home with 26 elderly clients. You will serve breakfast both at table and to those clients who are bedfast. You may have to assist those clients who cannot feed themselves to eat and drink and encourage those clients who require prompting. You will follow direction from care staff. The job will also involve collection of food trolleys, setting tables, some preparation of food and helping clients make choices from menus.
You must have a friendly, outgoing personality, a caring and compassionate nature and an empathy with the elderly.
Full training will be given. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
