Our client is recruiting for a Procurement Officer.

Are you ready to work for possibly the most exciting, innovative small business in the South-East? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic purchasing officer to join our client and negotiate the best price for their innovative and ground-breaking products!

You will be a key link in their supply chain and your main task and responsibilities as a Procurement Officer would include:

• Place orders to the suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, getting goods and services for the best price and value.
• Maximise existing and new supplier relationships.
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries and enable timely and accurate deliveries.
• Follow up and organise deliveries from the suppliers to our client’s warehouse, when necessary.

Procurement Officer - Must Have:

• Excellent negotiation skills
• Commercial and business awareness
• Good PC skills
• Confident telephone manner, strong communication skills and the ability to work cross functionally
• Good organisation skills and a keen eye for detail
• Enthusiastic approach to your work

Procurement Officer should Ideally have:

• Proven experience and track record of reducing costs
• Previous experience in a purchasing environment
