Senior Warehouse Operative

Reporting to- Warehouse Manager

Working Hours 9-5pm, Mon- Fri

Pay Rate - TBC

To ensure the effective communication and delegation of work to warehouse operatives
Responsibilities
• To support the Warehouse Manager, by means of receiving and delegating work to staff and be a hands on warehouse operative.
• To support and liaise with the Warehouse administrator on any job requests or requirements to delegate to staff.
• To ensure the staff are adhering to the Warehouse procedures.
• To ensure QC checks are being carried out on activity carried out by warehouse staff.
• To ensure the management of stock through leading stock checks to minimise inaccurate stock reporting.
• To ensure we are maintaining a stock cleansing process within all Warehouses whilst still trying to maximise each Warehouse.
• To ensure all dispatches are cleared daily in line with client/customer requirements.
• Proactively manage health & safety and actively promote safe working practices to ensure the safety and well-being of all staff and compliance with all statutory requirements.
• Provide direction and support to the team on a daily basis.
• Ensure effective housekeeping through regular lean thinking audits.
• To promote team working within warehouse and all relevant departments

Experience & qualifications required
• Warehousing background experience
• Counterbalance & Reach truck license
• Thorough understanding of business processes and procedures.
• Ability to manage schedules and priorities.
• Problem solving experience and techniques
• Health & safety and risk assessment skills
