Oh, I forgot to mention, there's also an excellent salary package on offer.

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will be joining a brand leading company that designs, manufactures and markets products that connect, monitor and control, from IoT to Space Systems and will be responsible for developing embedded applications for sensors, instrumentation and monitoring/control products.

Applications will range from simple GUIs for instrument control to the control of sensors including temperature, viscosity and pressure measurement and applications will range from sophisticated production control systems through to novel laboratory instrumentation for research scientists.


To be part of the team, you will need -


*Minimum of five years embedded applications development in a commercial environment
*Knowledge and experience in C/C++
*Knowledge of control theory
*Experience with a range of microprocessor architectures including ARM
*Familiarity with hardware/software design trade-offs
*Familiarity with object orientated design techniques
*Familiarity of simple GUIs for embedded applications


and in return, your remit will be broad and varied and will include -


*Architect embedded software applications
*Develop applications for embedded environments using C/C++
*Interfacing to PC applications through wired or wireless interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, Bluetooth or Zigbee
*Embedded control of sensors and motors using either simple interrupt driven software or with Linux type kernels
