Sharepoint Architect - Bedfordshire

SmartSourcing have an excellent opportunity for a SharePoint Architect, Technical Architect to join a major blue chip organisation who are continually expanding within their field. The role will be based in Central Bedfordshire commutable from Bedford, Northampton, Cambridge, Milton Keynes.

The successful candidate will take architectural ownership of the company SharePoint Platform and become the primary person for Sharepoint expertise for the Sharepoint Team. You will work closely with the team and 3rd parties to provide a world class Sharepoint and Office 365 function.

Skills and Experience Required:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate significant experience of working with Microsoft Sharepoint Server 2007/2010/2013 with a strong understanding of what the platform offers and how to use it.

Good SharePoint platform administration experience

Good understanding of SharePoint Development, ideally hands-on experience

Candidates without SharePoint experience may be considered but must have worked with Enterprise Level Applications, in the cloud or on premise, or collaboration systems/document management systems (eg LiveLink via opentext or Documentum), and demonstrate the following:

Experience of having delivered Architectural solutions in a large complex environment

Knowledge of one of the leading ESB technologies eg. WebSphere, SWAG, Tibco, Oracle, webMethods etc

Broad knowledge of technology solutions, current trends and techniques

Sound knowledge of architectural design including knowledge of services based approaches to solution design

Key Tasks and Deliverables:

Architecture Solution development (On-Premise and Office 365)

Taking the platform forward and ensuring it delivers value to the company by planning and delivering positive evolution

Ensuring designs and solutions align to IT Governance

Provide support and mentoring to the SharePoint team and IT as and when required
