IBM DB2 Database Consultant - z/OS, DBA, Database Administrator, Z/Platform, Banking
2x DB2 Z/Platform DBA's are required by a Top Tier Bank, working in the Service Delivery Division. As DBA's you will support and implement changes within the DB2 environment; assist with testing of changes to ensure the systems are fit for purpos.
Responsibilities to include:
- IBM DB2, Database Administration (DBA) with wider knowledge of the z/platform estate
- Investigate and promote industry best practice
- Support and implement changes to the DB2 estate
- Resolution of incidents and problems
- Represent databases services in WAR room conference calls with incident management and technical teams in order to restore service
- Support testing cycles providing feedback to test managers on results
- Manage the Sign-off that solution/service is fit for the Production environment
- Provide ad hoc out of hours support
- Identify risks across the DB2 estate and develop remediation plan
- Any experience of LUW platform would be highly desirable
The role will require you to work on a call out shift pattern of 1 week in 6, this will of course be compensated with a standby allowance of GBP3.5K plus call out.
