Developer/Programmer/Software Engineer - C#, .NET - Senior

Expro are currently seeking a highly experienced and passionate Senior Developer to join our ever expanding SafeWells team based in our Aberdeen offices. The Senior Developer role will be the key resource in developing complex code to ensure the success of the SafeWells product. Specifically you would be responsible for complex code enhancements, bug fixes and research and development of the product.

The main responsibilities of the Senior Developer are to:

• Design and develop SafeWells software to meet the needs of the customers
• Assist in the mentoring and development of less experienced members of the development team.
• Deputise for IT Systems Manager when he/she is unavailable, as directed by the management team.
• Provide realistic application delivery dates to the customers (both internal and external as required) and keep them up-to-date with progress made.
• When required, plan/implement development projects and supervise more junior members of the team to achieve the project's goal.
• By a key contributor to the development and roadmap of the SafeWells product
• Produce relevant documentation for use by the customers and other software developers
• Provide 2nd line support for the SafeWells enhancements once they have been deployed.

To be considered for this position we are ideally seeking you to have the following:

• A detailed understanding of the software development life cycle
• A detailed understanding of the development of custom web based solutions
• Exposure to AGILE methodology
• A strong understanding of Object Orientated programming and of modern development methodologies, patterns and practices
• Exposure to PRINCE2 - desirable
• Exposure to ITIL - desirable
• PRINCE II certification - desirable.
