2 x (WMB) WebSphere Message Broker Specialists are required by a major UK based Banking group due to growth within the business. As The WebSphere Message Broker Administrator (WMB) will provide highly complex technical support for systems and processes in Message Broker/IIB environment.

Essential Skills and Experience to include:
IBM WebSphere Message Broker v6, v7 and v9/WMB, on z/Os and at least one of the following AIX, HP, Linux, Solaris and Windows..

You will work on important projects associated with the Bank's projects including service improvements from the support and maintenance teams. The WMB SME will Install and maintain products and be responsible for the provision of technical support (including incident and problem resolution) for systems and processes in complex environments. The WebSphere Specialist will be accountable for the delivery of projects within WMB environments and the support of complex WMB environments to tight timescales.

As we upgrade to WebSphere Message Broker 7.0 and 9.0, your focus will be to help influence and drive improvements to the current architecture and the future direction of the LBG Message Broker platforms.

You'll need to:

  • Be capable of communicating complex information & ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Possess strong analytical skills & a detailed technical knowledge of z/OS and some or all of the following platforms - AIX, HP, Linux, Solaris, Windows.

  • Demonstrate a deep technical knowledge of IBM Message Broker infrastructure, ideally experienced in designing, developing and implementing Message Broker and MQ solutions.

  • Experience of leading technical projects will also be an advantage.

  • This is a Message Broker Infrastructure role, rather than an application message flow development role.
