Senior Support Developer

Our client is looking for an incredibly capable and highly technical Senior Support Developer to join their Newcastle Team. We are looking for someone who desires a challenge in their professional career and who has the right skills and innovative approach to help in development.

The Role
As a Senior Support Developer on our busy Service Desk you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of our client's applications. You will also be responsible for the delivery of projects that are many and varied - you could be developing new software products, extending the functionality of existing software products or enhancing the user interface of existing products.

You will be passionate about your work and have good attention to detail; in particular you will
have an analytical approach to problem solving. You will have an excellent understanding of the way people use websites and how usability can help shape and enhance a user's experience.

Essential skills and experience:

*C#
*.NET Framework
*ASP.NET MVC
*Relational database development, preferably MS SQL and Entity Framework
*REST/SOAP Web service and API development experience, preferably Web API and WCF
*Architectural design of new application projects, as well as maintenance to existing
*systems
*Conducting technical project reviews
*Small project development lead and the ability to think on your feet under pressure

Desirable skills and experience:

*HTML5
*JavaScript and modern libraries/frameworks
*Experience of test automation frameworks and tools, preferably Specflow and Selenium
*Non-relational database development experience
*Cloud development experience, preferably Azure and AWS
*CMS integration and development experience, preferably Sitecore and RedDot
