SQL/ASP.NET/C#/WPF Developer - Glasgow
SQL/C#/ASP.NET DEVELOPER - SQL SERVER (2008/2012) - SSIS/SSRS - T-SQL - GLASGOW
Our Client, a leading Financial Services company, seeks an Developer with hands on experience in (2008 and ideally 2012), T-SQL and SSIS/SSRS.
Requirements analysis and Code development is also good to have experience of
Key Accountabilities
Analysis:
* Requirements analysis for system enhancements and changes.
* Estimation of development effort expected to deliver requirement.
Design:
* Interpretation and understanding of functional specifications/user stories or other high level requirements documents.
* Writing technical design documents adhering to predefined standards for new functionality
* Updating existing technical design documents adhering to standards for changed functionality
Code:
* Hands on development of quality (ie readable, performant and supportable) code
* Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standards.
Testing:
* Preparation of detailed unit test cases
* Execution of unit test cases and documentation of results
* Providing support during QA and UAT test phases
* Diagnosis and resolution of defects found during QA and UAT test phases
Post-Implementation:
* Work closely and communicate effectively with other Wealth Finance IT developers both locally and globally - participating in and contributing to technical discussions.
* Raise all relevant risk and issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
* 3rd Line Support Activities
* Provide support for Monthly, Weekly &Daily MI Systems run on a SQL Server Setup.
Requirements
* Development experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012,
* Development experience in ASP.NET/C#
* Working knowledge of T-SQL (Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views, Functions)
* Working knowledge of ETL Processes (DTS/SSIS)
* Working knowledge of the SQL Server Business Intelligence Suite (particularly SSIS/SSRS)
* Experience in basic configuration management techniques involving a source control system such as Perforce
* Familiar with scheduling management technologies (eg Autosys)
* Excellent understanding of software development 'best practices'
* Excellent knowledge of the software development life cycle
* Working knowledge of Perforce
* Experience in usage of any incident management tool.
* Support Experience in querying large databases using SQL as part of resolution of production issues.
