The Scunthorpe site's core business is the supply of injection moulded components and assemblies to a varied customer base including Jaguar, Land Rover and Toyota. 

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to work at our plant in Scunthorpe. The role operates on a Continental Shift Pattern (days & nights 12 hour shift patterns)

The Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician Opportunity:

This is a multi skilled position working as part of the maintenance team responding to the high demands of the site in terms of the general, routine and unplanned maintenance of plant, equipment and facilities. Ensuring that all areas meet the standards required to operate in line with health and safety policies and procedures. Installation and continuous improvement work around the site will also be an important function of the position. Rapid response and rectification of problems is critical to ensure targets are met.

Principle Accountabilities:

> Ensure adherence to all relevant Health and Safety procedures. Be proactive in the raising of potential H&S issues and the development of personnel safety awareness.
> Working on a range of injection moulding machines ranging from 60 to 3000 tonnes for repairs and service. Adjustments, set up , maintenance of laser cells, pu cells, assembly and checking fixtures is also an intricate part of the role.
> Undertaking planned service work as requested
> To help the team install new plant and equipment to site and assist in the decommissioning of any old equipment.

In addition to these duties, employees are required to carry out other duties as may reasonably be required
Preferred Education & Experiences to fulfil role (essential & desirable)

Qualifications:

> City & Guilds 214 Mechanical Engineering / HNC / ONC electrical and mechanical engineering or equivalent 
> NVQ 3 Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
> 17th Edition Electrical Installations 
> Time-served with experience in production environment.

Experience:

> Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical knowledge, ability to read diagrams and drawings
> 6 and 3 axis robot experience desirable
> Automation and assembly equipment 
> Multi-skilled preferred 
> Knowledge of Lean engineering and Continuous improvement advantageous
> Understanding of Health and Safety Procedures
> A working knowledge and understanding of COSHH
> Knowledge of Plastic Injection Moulding Machinery is desirable.

> Ability to work as part of a team and under own initiative
> Ability to find faults and problem solve

You may have worked in the following capacities:
Multi Skilled Engineer, Electro / Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Pneumatic Engineer, Plant Fitter, Maintenance Engineer.
