Project Manager - Senior

Fantastic opportunity with a market leading international organisation based in Manchester. This highly regarded financial services company are seeking committed, passionate and highly skilled Project Managers to move their successful business forward within the North West.

Department Overview:

*Business and Operational re-engineering
*Regulatory, Legal and Risk projects
*Product Development
*Business driven IT change
*Large scale change programmes of work.

Each project is run against a business case, and is sponsored at Director/MD level within the organisation. The department has a core team of project managers and business analysts, and supports a business requirement to build efficiencies within our processes, and to professionally manage and deliver internal projects.

Summary of Role:

Project objectives, including timescales and deliverables will be given for each assignment. It will be the senior project manager's responsibility to:
*Fully define and scope the project, using a facilitative approach with in-house or external expertise
*Deliver project business cases, and present these to the Project Management Committee
*Apply Prince 2 tools and techniques to control and monitor projects through: (although a variety of other techniques and approaches may be required)
oEffective and accurate project planning
oIdentification, recording and management of project risks and issues
oKey metric reporting, etc
*Deliver projects against pre-determined goals: Time, Quality, Resource
*Contribute towards the continuous improvement of project management techniques across the group
*Manage internal and external stakeholder input to projects and manage expectations of senior stakeholders
*Support and mentor junior members of the project management team
*Understand and communicate the value or project management to organisations

Required Skill Set:

*Demonstrable Project Management skills and experience including:
oFull understanding of the project life cycle with proven front to back ownership of multiple projects.
oExperience of co-ordinating of business analysis and UAT across multiple departments
oUnderstanding of quality assurance within a project
oProject or Programme Management disciplines and techniques such as Prince 2
*Leadership skills and experience, both within a project structure and line managing staff.
*Perform regular formal progress and status reporting.
*Effective communication skills when dealing with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation including the delivery of presentations to audiences of varied sizes.
*Ability to multi-task, working alone, and as part of a team.
*Experience working in the Wealth and IFA business
