The purpose of the IT Operational Security team is to facilitate a secure environment to produce a reliable and consistent service and experience to all customers by protecting group information and IT assets against technological threats.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
- Direct involvement in the daily workload of the team
- Owning some aspects of incident resolution and root cause analysis as per agreed SLAs
- Contributing to the production, review and maintenance of team documentation
- Taking responsibility for specific tasks and/or project delivery associated with compliance activities
- Identifying, planning and implementing improvements and enhancements
- Owning aspects of the development, documentation and maintenance of standards, strategies and processes
- Providing technical support and guidance to the Business and other technical teams
- Complying with and supporting company's policies, values and culture to other teams and individuals within the company
Skills and experience:
- Have a sound understanding of the Energy industry and IT, gained from past experience as well as through social and professional networking
- Have a good understanding of the business needs
- Have a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly understand complex technical issues across multiple disciplines
- Have excellent personal effectiveness and the ability to manage own workload
- Have very good interpersonal and both written and verbal communication skills
