Job Purpose
As part of a new management team, it's IT Services are looking to recruit an innovative Head of Development and Integration. The primary focus will be on developing their complex application portfolio and creating new agile ways of working, enabling innovation and creativity in the development and integration team.
As part of their digital strategy they are looking to improve their operational capabilities and the services they provide to better meet the changing needs of their staff and students. This will be done through the management of technical application, ERP and Test specialists and the development of various applications and systems.
Job Responsibilities
You will be accountable for providing strategic leadership and accountability for the delivery of Application Development, Integration and Testing across a range of technologies including Web Development, Business Intelligence, ERP and Integration. As Head of Development & Integration, you will be solutions focused with a passion for technology and developing industry best practice helping to create a high performing development and test team.
Core Skills
- Successful track record in building and leading highly flexible teams of software developers and technical experts, operating in a Matrix environment.
- Experience of Waterfall and implementing Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred) and practices
- Substantial technical experience in solutions development and system implementation environments within a large complex organisation.
- Experience across a range of applications and systems including ERP packages, CRM, Web based applications within a large user base environment
- Knowledge and experience of test management.
Communication
- You will be a self-motivated and dynamic individual who is able to challenge and influence others, develop and maintain collaborative working relations across IT and non IT departments
- You will have high level, proven inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team of IT professionals
