An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Technical Services department for a Technical Services Auditor. The role will be primarily based at our brand new facility in Normanton, however flexibility will be required to cover the Pontefract site on occasion.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, Alternating shifts: Days 06:00 - 14:00 / Afters 13:55 - 21:55, 40 hours per week

The purpose of the role is to monitor factory processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with Company policy, quality, hygiene and legal standards.


Key accountabilities and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct routine inspections in factory area, e.g. glass and Perspex checks
  • Conduct monthly hygiene audits
  • Organise and manage investigation reports for customer complaints foreign bodies and trends
  • Encourage a proactive approach to safety, hygiene, quality and efficiency awareness throughout the team
  • Report departmental deficiencies e.g. safety, hygiene, quality, raw materials etc. to the departmental manager
  • Maintain communication to management, HODs, supervisors between shifts and other departments
  • Complete relevant documentation
  • Carrying out routine checks of packaging / raw material deliveries ensuring that materials accepted meet the Company's defined standards
  • Collation, filing and distribution of quality related paperwork
  • Conduct routine calibration checks against defined standards
  • Health and Safety procedures & safe systems of work are adhered to
  • Utilise company tools and equipment to optimum effect, maintain to a safe, hygienic standard and ensure they are returned to their correct storage area after each use
  • Conduct daily product audits including the tasting of product
  • Ensure good housekeeping is maintained throughout the department
  • Carry out any other tasks, which may be requested

Qualifications / Experience:

  • First-hand knowledge of working with quality management systems such as BRC
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong influencing skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Previous experience of working in a food manufacturing environment
  • A Food Science qualification or related is desirable
  • A driving licence is essential for this role
