The new SENCO must have exemplary communication skills. You must establish positive links and outstanding relationships with all external agencies, parents, carers, governors, staff and students alike. These relationships will be aided by the Head Teacher and departing SENCO.

•Have excellent knowledge of the British National Curriculum
•Be able to encourage and foster a teaching environment which is built on respect, inspiration and motivation
Work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues
•Be able to work with primary school children
