Austin Fraser are looking for a Support Engineer to work as part of their clients location intelligence customer support team based in Berkshire. As a Support Engineer you will have responsibility for providing technical support to customers, partners and internal users of products.

The Support Engineer will be expected to answer customer queries via phone and email, ensuring all queries are logged and pro-actively managed to until the issue is resolved. This will require excellent communication skills.

Skills Needed:

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows Server 2008 & 2012
• Scripting experience in a Windows environment using Powershell, F#, .NET, Python, Perl or other languages
• Knowledge of SQL
• Solid understanding of server hardware set-up and configuration
• Knowledge of Oracle or a similar relational database
• Previous Helpdesk (telephone and email support) experience
• Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new skills
• The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering.
