Person Specification
We are looking for a confident SEN Food Technology Teacher who has been recognised as a 'Good' or better teacher in recent observations and can use their inclusive approach to reach every child. You should have the capability to help drive up teaching standards and bring a positive attitude to your teaching. You will possess a personal investment in the performance of your pupils and a genuine desire to see them achieve as well as they can in exams and tests. You must show the ability to take the challenges of teaching and make each day a success and show exemplary understanding of the required curriculum. This vacancy is open to those who have no issues with creating an interactive, relaxed, and fun atmosphere in class as long as all curriculum targets are being met and pupils are learning effectively. This post requires a teacher who has the skills to be happy working individually or as part of a team and account effectively for behavioural management.
About the Role
This Food Technology Teacher position involves joining a committed staffing group who really want to make a difference in providing the best education possible to these students. You will be supported in class by a full-time Teaching Assistant who is ready to prepare lessons and help manage the students. The school place a high priority on engaging Food Technology lessons and the subject is taken very seriously. You will have the responsibility of teaching up to GCSE levels, helping students work well towards their exams, giving them every chance of reaching the necessary grades for whatever their future choice.
