As an Employment Adviser you will engage with employers to open up opportunities for work placements, job interviews and pathways into employment for our service users.

Our Employment Services support people who have, or are recovering from, mental health problems and wish to find or return to paid employment and may also be seeking voluntary work or training. If you want to develop your career in advice and guidance, add your skills to our dedicated Employment Advice team and make a real difference to people’s lives.

As an Employment Adviser with us you will:

  • Provide information, advice and guidance to service users helping them to regain or retain their employment
  • Identify work placements and training opportunities
  • Build positive links with local employers and partner agencies alike
  • Provide information on employment law, health and safety and Equality Act.

To join us as an Employment Adviser, you will need:

  • Experience of working to integrate disadvantaged people into the labour market
  • Experience of delivering training
  • An excellent communicator with good promotional and networking skills
  • Ability to develop excellent relationships with employers
  • Good office IT, word processing and admin skills
  • Ability to occasionally work outside of office hours
  • Ability to travel within the area, own transport and current driving licence essential.
