Job Introduction
We seek a part time Sales Receptionist based in our Dumfries town centre office to join our Dumfries titles which include Dumfries and Galloway Standard and Galloway News
Main Responsibilities
You will deal with incoming clients who present themselves at the Front office counter and deal with all manner of enquiries surrounding your brand leading local newspaper title.
You will be comfortable dealing with customers face to face and will have a professional and efficient manner, able to sell products as appropriate.
You should display the interest and aptitude to develop a thorough knowledge of our products in order to cross sell to customers and maximise sales opportunities both in print and on line.
The successful candidate will handle financial transactions accurately and professionally, ensuring records are maintained and security aspects of cash and credit card handling are managed appropriately.
You will deal with customer feedback and take corrective action. You will be measured on volume of sales achieved within each publication, accuracy of balancing transactions, speed and quality of response to customers and your attitude and the manner in which you deal with customers.
The Ideal Candidate
You do not have to be an experienced sales candidate but should have good customer service skills and the willingness to learn and develop your skills.
