Science Teacher General

A smaller than average all boys comprehensive school located in Essex is seeking to appoint 2x Science Teachers for a September 2015 start. Whilst these positions are initially temporary, they have the possibility of becoming permanent.

Ofsted rated the school as "Good" across all areas confirming that the strong leadership and governors have worked together successfully to raise standards. Relationships between teachers and students is good, students confirm they feel safe in the school and behaviour is good.

The school has 540 boys enrolled between the ages of 11-16 and there are a variety of wide ranging opportunities for students to deepen their experiences through clubs, trips and competitions which are very popular. There is a good school curriculum and teaching in English, Mathematics and Science is a strength. Students are offered a wide range of appropriate and varied courses.

There are excellent local and international transport links with the nearest train station within 2 miles of the schools location and Stansted Airport less than a 20 minute drive, London Heathrow Airport is under 30 miles away.

To be eligible to apply for this position you are required to be a qualified or newly qualified teacher.
