A Jewish community secondary school located in the London borough of Barnet is seeking to recruit a French Teacher for a September 2015 start. Whilst this position is initially temporary, it has the possibility of becoming permanent.

This school provides a high achieving, aspirational environment where high quality teaching staff deploy the best in educational practice to ensure students reach the highest levels of academic attainment. Ofsted awarded the school a Grade 2 'Good' in its most recent inspection with the report stating that the headteacher and his team have successfully established a distinct identity for the school and its community with high aspirations for its students. The quality of teaching is good and, in some cases, outstanding. Lessons feature well planned activities which engage students interests and enable them to lead their learning. Students demonstrate great enthusiasm for learning and tackle challenging tasks with confidence and resilience. The good values and sense of responsibility and respect for others permeates throughout the school with the behaviour of students being good, and often outstanding.

There are approximately 340 pupils of mixed gender aged 11-18 on the teaching roll of this secondary school. A wide range of extra curricular activities are on offer to all students which run during lunchtime and after school and these include art club, music and various sports clubs.

Transport links to the location of the school are good with the nearest train station within a mile and London Heathrow Airport is a 45 minute journey by car.
