Maths Teacher

An Academy Secondary school located in the beautiful county of Surrey is seeking a Maths Teacher to join their dedicated and talented team. This role begins in September 2015 and whilst temporary, it has the possibility of becoming permanent.

In its most recent inspection by Ofsted, the school was awarded a Grade 2 'Good' with the report stating that the principal provides effective leadership of the academy and is supported well by his senior leaders. Teaching is good and improving strongly because leaders at all levels have high expectations and track the impact of teaching well. Teachers plan activities carefully and explain them well to students and a result their progress is improving. Students have positive attitudes to their learning and show respect for others. Behaviour and safety are good and students and staff share a strong sense of belonging to a community.

There are approximately 650 pupils of mixed gender aged 11-16 years old on the teaching roll making this a smaller than average sized secondary school. This academy has recently undergone a multi million pound redevelopment plan. The new building includes a sports hall, internet cafe and study areas. The school offers a wide range of enrichment activities which include art club, dance, photography and various sports clubs.

The school has access to good transport links both locally and internationally, there is a train station and many bus stops less than 2 miles away. London Heathrow airport is less than a 30 minute journey by car. There is also a wealth of cultural and social activities in the area.
