Maths Teacher

A successful, innovative and forward thinking Academy located in the county of Kent is seeking to appoint a Maths Teacher. This post will commence in September 2015 and whilst temporary it has the possibility of becoming permanent.

The schools ultimate aim is for all students to achieve outstanding outcomes in all aspects of their learning. In addition to students following the core curriculum consisting of Sciences, Mathematics, English and PE the school also has its own Personal Professional Development programme for every pupil. The Academy aims to provide an education that makes learning dynamic, intensive, motivating and fun. Governors and staff lead improvement very effectively and well-developed systems are in place to monitor the academy's progress. Leaders also provide a wide range of training and development programmes for staff to improve teaching. There are a variety of extra-curricular activities and clubs available to students such as skiing, horse riding, chess and international cooking. There are 1060 pupils of mixed gender between the ages of 11 to 18, of which, 90 are enrolled in the sixth form. Students in the school want to succeed and benefit from one to one mentoring from undergraduates from a local University, consistently rising to each challenge set by teachers and management.

There is good access to local and international transport links, London City airport is under a 1 hour journey by public transport from the school and Gatwick Airport less than 1 hour away.
