Are you a .net developer looking to advance into SharePoint & .Net Developer?
Regent's University London's ITS department has an opportunity to develop and train the ideal candidate into a SharePoint developer. The candidate will work within a small yet passionate development team, and provide support, development, implementation and maintenance for SharePoint Portal technologies as well as some application support. This will eventually include developing and maintaining SharePoint site collections, team and collaboration and project sites using standard templates when possible.
Essential requirements of the .Net & Sharepoint Developer (.Net, Sharepoint, Javascript, SQL):
• Proven competency in in the following: web development using HTML,SQL Server, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
• Development skills with an understanding of Web Services architecture and design
• Experience gathering user requirements and writing design documents, participating in JAD sessions, writing and executing unit and system tests
• The .NET/SharePoint Developer must possess a minimum of 2+ years in Visual Studio .NET (SharePoint development ideal but not essential)
Desirable requirements of the .Net & Sharepoint Developer (.Net, Sharepoint, Javascript, SQL):
• Proficient with Object Oriented programming using .NET C#, ASP.NET
• Hands on SharePoint Development experience creating SharePoint features and solutions including custom content types, web parts, event receivers, workflows and site templates
• Demonstrated experience supporting MS environments similar to size, scope and complexity to the requirements in the higher education sector
• Proficiency in SharePoint Security administration and maintenance
• Proficient configuring SharePoint Service Application
