Solutions Architect - London

Job Specific Competencies:

Required:

• Understanding of data architectural concepts and objectives
• Technical competence in data analysis and modelling eg UML/XML
• Past working experience in a relevant role eg data/payments architect, infrastructure engineering
• Sufficient experience in an analyst role, or similar, where they have been exposed to business analysis within a multi stakeholder environment
• Articulate communicator with good interpersonal skills
• Ability to understand and appreciate the technical features that differentiate one payment system architecture from another
• Knowledge of UK payment systems and messaging formats (eg Bacs, CHAPS, FPS, SWIFT, ISO 20022)
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and vice versa

Desirable:

• Experience of how standards, specifically related to messaging are developed and applied
• Knowledge and understanding of prevailing industry messaging standard frameworks and regulatory considerations eg ISO 20022, SEPA etc.
• Knowledge of messaging construction software eg XML Spy.
