Person Specification
The successful applicant will be an imaginative Maths graduate who has a strong academic record with a 2:2 or above in their chosen discipline and a good understanding of how to work with children based on experience gained from a similar role. You must show the ability to quickly get to know your colleagues and students and bring an impressive amount of enthusiasm to the role. You will have the drive to communicate effectively and show you have a strong understanding of the curriculum. The school want to meet applicants who have an inspirational nature that encourages those around them to use their full potential.

About the Role
In this Maths Teaching Assistant/TA post you will be moving throughout the school's year groups to match demand. This varied role will have you supporting the whole classroom and also individual pupils who really benefit from the extra assistance in maths. You will be nurtured to teaching success as you are mentored by an accomplished SENCO. Maths is a popular department with a high number of students choosing to continue studying it at Key Stage 5. With plenty of spaces available on this school's School Direct scheme, you will be expected to enrol and begin teaching at the school as soon as you have completed this placement on the support team. Your duties will be different every day and you will work with pupils who have a statement of SEN as well as those on the C/D borderline at GCSE.
