Business Consultant - BI/Analytics - Insurance - Circa GBP50k
Salary: Circa GBP40k to GBP50k
Field and On-Site 75%/Office 25%

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with our prestigious client in the Gloucestershire region. We are currently sourcing a Business Analyst/Business Consultant for our client. You will be tasked with gathering, analysing and defining requirements with respect to insurance analytics for inclusion as part of an Insurer Analytics product.

This role is a client facing role and you will be required to work on-site during client projects, around 3 to 4 days per week

Responsibilities and Background:

  • Liaising with clients to gather and define requirements
  • Run workshops and utilise other consultancy techniques
  • Background in general insurance essential
  • Background in analytics/BI a distinct advantage
  • Manage requirements through the project life cycle
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle an advantage

Suitable candidates should possess

  • Must have recent previous experience working as an Analytics Business Analyst on technology based projects.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of Business Intelligence products, processes and methodologies.
  • Strong domain knowledge is essential. Will be aware of the latest business processes and techniques within the Insurance Industry, especially those relating to analytics.
  • Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and able to collaborate closely with a technical team.
  • Will have worked on previous client projects with analytics requirement gathering responsibility and have experience of being on client site.
  • Experience of gathering and producing business requirement documents for the subsequent creation of solution design documents.
  • Hold a recognised CII qualification together with a recognised Business Analysis qualification - eg ISEB.
  • Experience of working within a business improvement environment ie the ability to review business processes and target areas for improvement.
  • Extensive experience in the general insurance sector essential
  • Experience of working on-site during client projects - 3-4 days a week (75%)
  • Own Driver's License essential
