Reliability Engineer - Hedge Fund - Python, UNIX, Java, C++
This global Hedge Fund is searching for a Reliability Engineer to join their London offices.
Purpose
To act as a conduit between infrastructure and development teams and be on the front line for maintaining and expanding the capabilities of their systems. The successful individual will be the primary operational support for multiple large distributed software applications.
Responsibilities
- Improving software reliability eg monitoring, alerting and documentation
- Gathering and analysing metrics for operating systems and applications to improve performance
Skills
- Programming in Python, Ruby and/or Javascript
- Java, C, C++
- Experience in Linux/Unix administration
- Host based networking
- Ideally experience working within a Finance environment
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another highly technical, scientific discipline
