JOB TITLE: Senior Sales Administrator
REPORTS TO: Managing Director
Salary: 23,000. 00 - 25,000

We are looking for a proactive, organised self starter to be the main point of contact for key customer accounts, coordinating the order process and communication to the customer, to achieve the agreed business performance objectives for Simplified.

Key responsibilities will be Interaction with customers, departmental managers, senior management team and there will be secondary responsibility for up to 4 administrators.
 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (PRIMARY):

  • Manage the day-to-day order requirements and enquiries from a specific range of customers, achieving effective workload prioritising and the timely and accurate processing of customer orders to meet customer lead times.
  • Establish and maintain customer specification files.
  • Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures for order processing and customer communication.
  • In conjunction with the Commercial Manager / Customer Services Manager, contribute to achieving individual account and departmental objectives.
  • Verify the application of correct customer prices to orders.
  • Assist in the updating of order information post-production, as part of the team responsibility to ensure the accuracy of product specifications.
  • Develop and maintain professional customer relationships to improve the flow of communication, understanding and increase loyalty to the business.
  • Assist in the provision of accurate monthly performance reports as required by customers.
  • In conjunction with the Commercial Manager / Customer Services Manager and site management team, input ideas and help to implement specific projects including cost saving and margin improvement initiatives, within the appropriate area of influence.
  • Support team resource needs during holiday periods, showing flexibility to assist with other accounts.
  • Support colleagues in training and continuous improvement activities.


SECONDARY ACCOUNTABILITIES (in the absence of / in conjunction with the Customer Services Manager):

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the team
  • Consult and communicate with the local management team
  • Offer practical advice on workload priorities and timely and accurate processing of customer orders
  • Balance work loading, based on an individual’s capability, and external and internal customer expectations
  • Communicate effectively with our customers to understand and realise expectation, and increase loyalty to the business
  • Lead from the front, and always support and encourage excellence
  • Manage poor performance
  • Provide accurate short, medium and long-term data as necessary. Eg. Account analysis, monthly statistics
  • Promote a team working ethic by example


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

  • Experience and knowledge of production / manufacturing processes, preferably within the print packaging industry
  • Experience of networking across a multi-site / international organisation
  • Ability to plan and co-ordinate priorities within a team environment
  • Experience of Deputising and managing a team in the absence of the Customer Services Manager
  • Confident communication / presentation / business / negotiation skills
  • Commercial / financial awareness and proven customer relations skills
  • IT Literate to intermediate level in use of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
