Java Developer (Java/Groovy/JUnit) - Permanent Role (London)

Our client is a highly successful global Internet company based in central London that are market leaders in their fast moving competitive industry. With continued rapid growth in global web customers and a constant large development programme in place they are looking for an enthusiastic Java Developer in Test to join their dynamic team to deliver continuous improvement.

The Java Developer will be responsible for specialising in adapting code and building tests across multiple project streams within the development programme. The agile team environment requires initiative and solid working knowledge of Java development using continuous integration in enterprise web technologies.

As you would expect there are many teams involved with a programme of this size so established experience with strong communication skills will be essential for this challenging role.

The suitable candidate should have the following knowledge and experience:

• Strong practical knowledge and experience in programming JAVA (Groovy, etc), data structures, complex algorithms, test-driven development
• Development defect management using common tool sets (JIRA, etc)
• Demonstrable knowledge in test automation framework tools; Junit, TestNG
• Experience of using Cucumber-JVM, JBehave, Selenium (GRID, IDE, RC, Webdriver) and SoapUI
• Good working knowledge of methodologies in Agile (BDD, ATDD, FDD,TDD), V-Model, Waterfall
• Experience in development and testing in Agile Software development projects
• Experience of Back End development in high-volume E-commerce websites distinct advantage
• Very strong verbal and communication skills
