Join our team of electronic engineers in Glasgow where you will be responsible for the detailed design of electronic assemblies, and supporting the build, test and qualification of a new digital video converter. Leading the design of our products and supporting our customers day to day, you will have the opportunity to challenge yourself and work on a variety of products, including our ultra-high resolution and thermal imaging cameras.
Key responsibilities
• Accountable for the architecture of electronic sub-systems
• Selecting, designing and validating the test solutions
• Requirements capture, system design, hardware design and test through to final customer integration
• Designing the interface to the printed circuit board layout, plus relevant mechanical, software and systems engineering activities.
Skills, qualifications and experience
• A relevant engineering degree, enhanced by further studies in electronics, ideally with modules in analogue, digital, signal processing, firmware and software
• A solid background in designing electronic systems, both as part of the team and as a leader
• Experience of the full design lifecycle, including taking designs from initial negotiations through requirements capture, system design, hardware design and test to final integration
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders of all levels and motivate the team.
