Description:
Work with the Planning and Metrics Manager to ensure and measure efficient and effective delivery of designs and other deliverables for the JNUP project. Design Compliance and Sub-Contractor Management resources to meet the Engineering Team requirements going forward.
Key Responsibilities
• Anticipate, highlight and escalate critical issues
• Coordinate with other functions in the Company on planning and metrics issues
• Liaise and communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
• Integrate with other functions within a project to resolve planning and metrics issues
• Take a pragmatic approach to problem solving
• Keep abreast of technical development in the railway signalling design field both within and outside of the Company
• Comply with any requirements laid out in project role descriptions
Experience and skills
• Degree qualified or with equivalent experience, ideally in an engineering field
• Appreciation of programme construction
• Appreciation of budgeting
• At least 3 years experience in a similar role, ideally in the rail industry
• Ability to develop and maintain complex spread sheets in Microsoft excel
• Good technical writing skills and good interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and ensure work packages are to specification and delivered in a timely fashion
