AQUILA Air Traffic Management Services is a partnership between a leading UK air navigation services specialist and Thales, a driving force in UK and global air traffic management. Together, we are deploying our expert knowledge to improve military air traffic management in the UK. It's a transformational project. One that will ensure UK military air traffic is managed by a modern, cost-effective and world-class system.
Join AQUILA as a Transition Manager to take the lead in ensuring all aspects of service delivery for the programme are driven through to achieve operations from the start date of the contract. You will play a critical role to create, design, implement and maintain a robust transition plan to integrate new and stable services into the 'steady state' environment to ensure the migration of service to AQUILA does not compromise operational services or safety.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement mitigations to ensure service continuity which are safe and cost efficient
• Ensure all support contracts are in place and fit for purpose to safeguard the customers operation
• Determine the readiness levels of the Service Delivery department, 3rd party suppliers and business users with regards to upcoming changes
• Ensure policies, procedures and process are designed, maintained and updated with regards to upcoming changes
• Assess risks in accordance with transition activities, to ensure any potential scheduling and performance issues have minimum impact on the customers operations
• Actively participate in the design, development and maintenance of a robust communications plan
• Manage readiness gaps and take ownership of action plans to close the gaps prior to any mobilisation and service transition activities
• Ensure the transition programme continues to deliver in line with the Service Delivery strategic vision.
Qualifications, experience and skills
• Relevant experience in change management within large, high profile, high value, and complex transition programmes
• Air traffic management or defence sector experience would be an advantage
• Demonstrable project management experience
• Strong people and stakeholder engagement skills
• Flexible to travel to other locations when required.
