Job Title: Software Systems Engineer
Location : Templ e combe
Salary : Negotiable + benefits

We are looking for talented and ambitious Software Systems Engineers with all levels of experience to join the Thales Military Air Operations business based out of Templecombe. Working with our creative, motivated team you will assist in the development of IT application infrastructure for complex software intensive deployable systems. Working with cutting edge technology you will provide technical hands on support to all parts of the business, both on-site and at the customer's premises. Working for us will give you exposure to the full range of Air Operations products across an exciting customer base. You will play a key role in impacting the whole product lifecycle and have the opportunity to develop a career within a market leader in the design & development of innovative air information systems.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
• Support the development of complex software systems and reusable products
• Work with internal and external customers to establish networking needs
• Assist in developing stable technical requirements
• Carry out system IT infrastructure architecture modelling activities
• Carry out IT Infrastructure implementation and support tasks
• Develop network designs by liaising cross functionally (e.g. ILS, Safety, Security)
• Liaise with customers and subcontractors on technical issues relating to network designs
• Support the production of technical information / documentation
Skills, qualifications and experience required:
• Experience working as a Software Systems Engineer
• Experience in requirement management is ideal
• Exposure to a variety of design tools
• Solid understanding of he systems engineering process
• IPv4 Network Design:
• Network Management experience
• Microsoft Design and Implementation:
• HND / Degree level in a relevant subject is preferred
